HMA Showcase

I realize that I will never complete all of the games I set out to do, but I did learn much creating them. For those interested in my progress, this showcase gives an overview.

Visual Basic

All of these programs were made by myself before I received any formal education on computer programming, graphics development, or any other skills needed to make them. Google and the rest of the Internet was my main source of knowledge, although several programming books pushed me along when there was too much to search for. This time period was from April 18, 2003 (age 13) until the school year of 2005 (age 15) overloaded my workload too much to continue.

Most of these games are not downloadable because they tend not to run properly on machines other than that on which they were made. Remember that these were made at an early age, and at the time, compatibility was a challenge I was not ready for.

To read about my struggle to learn how to program, view my About Homemade Arcade page.

Game Pack 1 was my first attempt to create games. Made at age 13, they show poor code, but decent functionality. Listed in chronologic order, they show my rapid increase in skill.

Game Pack 2 was a continuation of my earlier progress. This pack was started immediately after Game Pack 1 (still age 13), but the games after Apatsagwan were made later; around the end of age 14.

Apatsagwan was made during the long break from Game Pack 2, and shows my remarkable progress during age 14.

Screen Saver Pack 1 and Screen Saver Pack 2 were also made in-between Game Pack 2, although after Apatsagwan.

Java

When 17, I started a Java code library and Asteroids. I am now 18 and resuming work on both.
